He also criticized the previous administration, stating that between 2014 and 2018, farmers incurred an additional interest burden of ₹2,630 crore due to the delayed implementation of loan waivers. Moreover, the BRS government’s second loan waiver in 2018 added another ₹8,315 crore interest burden on farmers.
